Onward Poster Illustration

I had actually planned this project to be composed entirely of a vector illustration, but midway through, I decided to continue with my traditional drawing style. After drawing vectors of the two main characters, I shaded in highlights and shadows, along with more intricate texture details and realized that I could develop this piece to look more convincing as a physical spell book using my painterly style to render the material. I did use vector shapes again when I created the patterns for the border and central ring before adding an aged foil texture to them.
