iSchool Academic Branding
During my role as a graphic designer and the University of Maryland’s iSchool (College of Information Studies), I participated in the creation of a new brand suite for the college. Following a few existing guidelines, I worked with other members of the media team to develop print collateral for academic programs and templates for media that could be updated periodically for members of other departments. Below are some examples of my designs.
iSchool Wall Posters
A separate project at the UMD iSchool tasked me with designing wall art in the offices where advising was located. I was given a series of famous quotes relating to communication, and I came up with a typography-based design that gave personality to the quotes themselves, while incorporating the individuals who said them. I was happy to incorporate my illustration skills in the vector portraits I created for each speaker, and the color scheme I chose brought focus to each element of the poster while also exhibiting the iSchool’s signature shade of yellow. Each of the 6 posters features a different type treatment, but as a series, they all share a singular style and general layout.
